Our bar is open all day ... and almost all night
...when the bar is manned by Robert our Night Porter - A Man of Great Character, Courtesy and Conversation - who looks after our guests late night refreshments and SECURITY nightly from 11pm. Robert is always ready with a welcome when you return home from a night out. Please drop in to say hello and a cup of coffee on the house (or buy a night cap).

Our Aspiration
Wherever it can make a difference to our guests’ enjoyment of their breakfast, we try to source local and other produce of exceptional quality.
- Our Apple Juice is from Ringden Farm, Flimwell, East Sussex. They have a Farm Shop packed full of local produce: find them on A21 between Hastings and Tunbridge Wells; makes a nice drive out combined with a visit to Seddlescombe Vineyard nearby.
- Our Salmon is smoked locally by Springs of Edburton, a small village tucked away in the folds of the downs, near Henfield, who have a delightful shop and smoker, Full of delicious produce and well worth a visit on a day out! They also do mail order via www.deliaonline.co.uk
- Our Sausages & Hams are Free Range and organically produced from East Sussex Farms where customers are welcome to visit. Just ask and we will call them to arrange a visit., or visit their website www.sussexwaymeat.com
- Our Olive Oil comes from friends’ Olive Grove in Crete
- Our Marmalade,made by hand in traditional open pans in Sussex
- Fair Trade Tea & Coffee Beans - We buy because they taste great and by doing so, helps others improve their life.
